The European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Commission (EC) announced on Thursday to take Germany as the member for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The inspections will be conducted between the FDA and the European member states.

With Germany joining the inspection team, all the European member states will now carry out regulations as per the agreement except Slovakia. Germany's GMP inspections are now considered equivalent to those conducted by the FDA. The agreement has the liability to end if the FDA does not complete the assessment by 15th July 2019.
